CANOC endorses Throws Centre for Grenada

Following on the submission by Panam Sports Vice President, Keith Joseph, to Panam Sports for the establishment of a Panam Sports Throws Centre in Grenada, the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) has given its full endorsement to the project.
At its 17th annual General Assembly in Panama City, Panama, on 29 October 2019, the members accepted a recommendation from the CANOC Executive to acknowledge and support the importance of establishing the Throws Centre in Grenada, one of its members whose performance record in this aspect of athletics continues to grow exponentially.
The Throws Centre is likely to feature prominently on the agenda of the Executive Meeting of Panam Sports scheduled for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, in mid December.
Paul Phillip, the head Throws Coach and coach of newly crowned World Javelin Champion, Anderson Peters, is expected to lead the coaching cadre at the Centre and spearhead the programme’s development.
